Who saysthere’s nothing to do on a Friday night on the coast? Introducing, Entertainment Art Classes… bring a friend, enjoy a fun night outmaking a special piece of art that you get to take home with you! Our first such class offers a chance to get a head start on your Easter basket with beautiful hand-painted Psanska, or Ukrainian Easter Eggs.

Using a wax-resist method, this traditional art is similar to batik — patterns are drawn on the egg with wax, which then protects the covered areas from the dye that is applied. By repeating this process with different colors of dye, a multi-colored pattern is built up. Finally, the wax is removed to reveal the colors that were added at each stage. Eggs can be put in Easter baskets, hung on trees, or saved as keepsakes.

All supplies are provided by the instructor, so all you need bring is your lovely self and a friend! A materials fee of $10 (in addition to the$25 class fee) is due to the instructor the evening of the class.
