Pysanka, which means “to write,” is a traditional Ukrainian folk art form that uses a wax-resist method of dyeing eggs. In this workshop you will learn to use styluses to melt beeswax and draw designs on goose eggs that have been blown hollow. The eggs willbe dipped into a wide range of dyes to create endless patterns. Learn about the symbolism of traditional pysanky eggs. At the end of the project, watch the wax melt awayto reveal your designs!
