The exhibit tells the stories of Sonya Cywink and Patricia Carpenter, two of the1,200 + MMIWGT2S, through a combination of film, soundscapes and personal artifacts. At the top of every hour and half hour, visitors will be able to view short documentaries which tell the stories of Sonya and Patricia. Their poems, childhood dolls and clothing they wore will allow audiences to come to know Sonya and Patricia and the impact which they had on their families, friends and communities. Thisintimate experience offers audiences a closeness to these two remarkable young women, humanizing their lives and showing them as more than just a statistic.
